Took me an idea, two photos, many hours in front of my computer screen and a lot of espresso, to make this one.

I had this photo in mind for a long time and i decided to finally get it down when i found this street at downtown Athens. I took the photo of the street at around 5:00 am in the morning, empty, looked almost deserted. I had the feeling that Philip Marlow was going to come out of that hotel door any minute. The taxi at the back was an unexpected gift and of course it was stopped with the lights turned off.

The photo of the person, it's my back actually, was taken later at home. I used an office lamp, in front and above my head as main light. Then i combined those two photos in photoshop. Rain and other details like taxi lights, droplets etc were also added digitally.
